The admission policy of Jai Bharath Arts and Science College is designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity for all applicants.
The institution follows the guidelines and regulations prescribed by Mahatma Gandhi University, along with the norms of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Government of Kerala. Over these two decades, JBASC has embraced a system which caters to the holistic development of its student community. Starting with one programme in 2002, now the college conducts 11 UG programmes and 2 PG programmes. The college follows an admission policy strictly following the rules and regulations of the government, the AICTE and the affiliated university. The admission policy of Jai Bharath Arts and Science College ensures a structured, merit-based, and transparent process that aligns with university and government regulations while supporting students from all sections of society.
Candidates must have passed the Plus Two (Higher Secondary) or equivalent examination with subjects such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Accountancy, or related commerce subjects, including Informatics Practices or Computer Applications as one of the optional subjects.
Candidates should have passed Plus Two or any equivalent examination recognized by the university, irrespective of stream.
Admission to the B.Com Honours programme is open to candidates who have passed Plus Two with Bookkeeping and Accountancy, along with any of the following subjects: Commerce, Commercial Correspondence, Economics, Business Studies, Mathematics, Computer Science / Applications, Informatics Practices, Management, Accountancy. Alternatively, candidates from other streams may also apply provided they have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
Candidates must have passed Plus Two or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Computer Science.

For all other programmes (both UG and PG), the qualification is set by the University and admission is given to only those who have the required qualifications. 50% of seats of all these programmes are allotted by the University through the Central Allotment Programme (CAP) and the remaining seats are filled by the college management on the basis of the rank list prepared by the college admission office from among the applicants for the same. During the admission process the college is very particular to follow the reservation policy of the government for different socio-economic groups. While taking admission in the management quota, students should ensure their confirmation on continuing in the same.
