BSW

A full time 6/8 semester honours degree program.

Objective

  • To facilitate the learners to develop professional knowledge, attitude and values required to function as effective social workers
  • To enable the learners for scientific assessment, planning and intervention towards bringing about change in the social functioning of human beings in their respective field of practice.
  • To help the learners to develop their professional self through integral transformative practices.

JAI BHARATH BSW

The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program at Jai Bharath is a four-year undergraduate degree designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for professional social work practice.

The theoretical, philosophical, and historical foundations for the development of social work as a profession are covered in the Batchelors of Social Work. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of social issues, human behaviour, and social work interventions, preparing graduates for diverse careers in various social welfare settings. Additionally, the course gives students the chance to work on projects and examples from real-world situations by applying the methodologies, fields, values, methods, and principles of social work that are taught during the theoretical sessions.

Throughout their four years of study, all students will participate in fieldwork, a rural practicum, study visits and camps both inside and outside the state in addition to classroom instructions. During the program's last semester, students will also be required to complete a project work.

Your Requirement For The Program

Students who have a passion in helping others and addressing social issues, thereby contributing positively to the wellbeing of the community. To be eligible for admission to the BSW program at MG University, applicants must have completed their higher secondary education (12th grade) with a minimum required percentage. They must also meet any additional requirements set by the university, which may include entrance exams and personal interviews.
